Libertas was a warning, really. A warning to stay unique and to stay exceptional. Well, no. Actually she was the ancient Roman goddess of liberty. Tiberius Gracchus constructed a temple to her honor on Aventine Hill in the 2nd century BCE, though her most recognized representation is the Statue of Liberty in New York.
